AdvayaAI vs Podium vs Birdeye
All three can reply to your Google reviews. They are not really competing for the same job, and the honest answer to “which should I buy” depends almost entirely on whether you want one problem solved or a whole platform.

The short answer
Choose Podium or Birdeye if you want one system for messaging customers, taking payments, running webchat, sending review requests and handling reviews. They are customer communication platforms and they are good at being that.
Choose AdvayaAI if the only thing you actually want is for your Google reviews to get answered, properly, without you doing it. That is the whole product. You should not pay platform prices for one feature, and we would rather say so than pretend to be a platform.
What each one is
| AdvayaAI | Podium | Birdeye | |
|---|---|---|---|
| Built for | Answering Google reviews automatically | Customer messaging, payments, webchat, reviews | Reputation, surveys, referrals, listings, reviews |
| Scope | One job | Whole platform | Whole platform |
| Setup effort | Connect Google, pick an hour, done | Onboarding and configuration | Onboarding, reportedly $500–$1,500 per location |
| Right for | Any number of locations that just want replies handled | Teams who will use the messaging and payments side | Brands needing approval chains and enterprise reporting |
Pricing, and why this section is unusual
Neither Podium nor Birdeye publishes prices. Both route you to a sales call. Every figure below comes from third-party reporting, the reports disagree with one another, and none of it should be treated as a rate card — get a written quote that states the billing unit, the setup fee and the renewal terms.
| AdvayaAI | Podium | Birdeye | |
|---|---|---|---|
| Published price | Yes, on the site | No — quote only | No — quote only |
| Monthly cost | $49 / $79 / $200 per location | Reported around $399–$599, with a 2026 comparison citing CAD 459–689 [2] | Reported around $299–$449 per location [1] |
| Contract | Monthly, cancel any time | 12 months commonly reported [3] | 12 months commonly reported [3] |
| Setup fee | None | Reported for phone hardware [2] | Reported $500–$1,500 per location [4] |
| Try before paying | 10 replies free, no card | Demo call | Demo call |
The pattern worth noticing is not that we are cheaper. It is that you can find out what we cost without speaking to anyone, and leave whenever you like. For a single-location business those two facts usually matter more than the headline number.
On replying to reviews specifically
| AdvayaAI | Podium / Birdeye | |
|---|---|---|
| Replies post without approval | Yes, by default — optional to switch off | Typically AI-assisted drafts you approve |
| Negative reviews | Short public acknowledgement, full response emailed privately to the owner | Handled in the shared inbox for a human to answer |
| Policy safety | Compliance filter blocks promotional wording Google suspends profiles for | Human review is the safeguard |
| Old unanswered reviews | Unused monthly allowance works through the backlog automatically | Manual |
| Review requests to customers | No — we do not solicit reviews | Yes, a core feature |
| Other platforms than Google | No | Yes — Facebook, Yelp and others |
When you should not choose us
If you want to ask customers for reviews, we are the wrong tool and will stay the wrong tool. Podium and Birdeye both do it well. We deliberately do not, because soliciting reviews sits close to lines Google enforces and we would rather not build near them.
If you need Facebook, Yelp or TripAdvisor covered as well, we only do Google Business Profile.
If you want one inbox for texts, webchat, payments and reviews, that is a platform, and buying three tools to avoid one platform is a false economy.
If you are an enterprise brand needing role permissions, approval chains, SSO and franchise-wide reporting, you will outgrow us quickly. That is about the org chart, not the number of sites — owning several locations is not the same thing, and is covered below.
When we are the better buy
You have one location, or several. Your Google reviews mostly sit unanswered. You do not want another inbox to check, another login, or a twelve-month commitment to find out whether it helps — and the money matters, because $49 and something in the region of $400 are different decisions for a small business.
In that case the honest pitch is small: connect your listing, pick the hour, and your reviews get answered from then on. Your first 10 replies are free with no card and they post to your real profile, so you can judge the writing on your own reviews rather than on ours.
If you own more than one, that is the case we handle best. Each location carries its own plan, its own contact email and signer, and its own tone and description — so a cafe and a clinic on the same account do not end up sounding alike, and neither do two branches of the same restaurant. You see them separately or together, and you pay per location, so three sites on Starter is $147 a month rather than an enterprise contract.
